Snetterton Track Day with Russell Joyner
As much as our trip to Snetterton was a weather-inspired track day, after arriving it dawned on me that two weeks from now I’m gonna be racing here. So me and Russ put our heads together and worked on the bike, as we were sharing the ride and Russ could give me valuable feedback. We put a smaller sprocket on the rear, which helped with the tighter sections. But we had a judder in the front end that we put down to worn shims in the disc so we’re sending them off to be re-shimmed but all in all the bike was well dialled-in, good enough for me anyway.
So it wasn’t a big tactical move to get down and set the bike up but it definitely worked in our favour. It was only my second time at the track so was good to get to know my way round it. Hopper come down in the afternoon and hung out, and my team mate Paul was there too. We all had a proper laugh and went home feeling good about the day.
