Hottrax Finale @ Snetterton

so woke up to a pretty foggy damp october weekend in norfolk,;;; but the word was ‘it would clear and was set to dry n maybe even warm up’, i mean you never know … but it looked that way// had a quick cycle round the track with neevesy (senior) to help me firm up some of the more important points where you can make up time….ah mega…the tracks just widened up a bit for me;;; and certainly in the 1^st practice session put all that into action and it felt really good,,, was well up for it ///

a strong race is what we’re here for, and theres something really cool about just being here;; it feels like i’ve finished the season;;,,, i set my sights at the beginning to finish what I started and that for me feels really triumphant;;;; I wanna look back in years to come when im sitting in front of the box with eurosport on, watching  the racing and i think ‘I’ve been a part of that’..;; so just went out out there to get my head down ,, be as strong as I can ;;; and i just wanting to back up the work of my team mate ben, as that’s boy’s been riding his ass off and is really determined;;;

so into the race and 1^st stint was mega,,,  really focused in on my riding,, i barely had the concentration to look at the pitboard;;; i was just so buzzed and rode my tits off;;; went out for my 2^nd stint on a new unscrubbed and cold rear tyre, as id made a last minute decision to chuck on a newie, i was dealing with the rear end really being alive and all over the place, thinking this aint right…..then…..KABOOOOM…… now ive got a proper poblem, it just blew up  - as i arrived back to the garage everyones asking me ‘whats happenend????’, dont ask me!!!!  it’s a closed box of parts and something’s shit itself and nobody knows what ;;;,,, i stayed off the racing line so we didnt fuck up the race for anyone else;;; but we have for ourselves,  and we were in a good position too;;;; it’s shit cos we all grafted hard all weekend for that one moment of utter shit,,,

and you know,,, the buzz word in the paddock is,,, “”that’s racing”” ,,, so yeah gutted, but you move on and we’re gonna take this into next year;;; the team’s strong,, there’s nothing else to do but learn from our first year in the paddock;;;;;time to  lift ourselves up and dust ourselves down;;; not the perfect ending,, but you’ll be seeing us back on the grid in 2012;;;;///…….

hey listen…..i just want to give a massive shout out to all the guys and girls in the hottrax paddock, in all classes that have completed their championship this year, and to all the winners…you lucky bastards…!!!

and to all the runners up - fuck we can do it next year cant we…
