James Rispoli and Team Traction Control got their debut Motorpoint British Supersport Championship season off to a flying start in Spain last week as the American made his debut with Keith Flint’s squad in Spain.

Rispoli has already celebrated success in the Supersport class Stateside, scoring four consecutive AMA Pro Supersport Championships in two seasons, and is now determined to add to his tally as he prepares for his first full campaign in the UK. Rispoli was joined at the test by Steve Mercer, who lines up for TTC at the major road race events, with team owner Keith Flint also trackside keeping a watchful eye on his new line up.

Rispoli said: “The first test for us went great. The team worked well together and we nearly met every expectation we set for ourselves. The bike and team by day three where really coming on strong and I started feeling like I could really start pushing.  My Suzuki GSX R600 feels really good and we were able to click off laps within tenths of each other which gives me a lot of confidence in my training program during the off season. I feel we have a great balance in the bike and have a good base to start from so now we can start focusing on Donington Park.”

The countdown is on to the start of the 2014 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this Easter weekend (18/19/20/21 April). Advance ticket can be purchased at www.brandshatch.co.uk or by calling 0843 453 9000.
